The 5 km long white sand beach of Platja Es Trenc in the south of Majorca has long been known as “Caribbean Beach” or the “Dream Beach” of Majorca. Because of its lengths of 5 km it is never overcrowded as the visitors have room to spread out. The dunes that lie behind it have been declared a nature preserve and some parts are no longer accessible to guests. Nude bathing is permitted at Es Trenc. There are two beach bars and one restaurant at Es Trenc. The large car park at the Es Trenc requires a fee. Toilets and showers are present here. Sunbeds and sunshades can be rented. The shallow declining beach reaches far into the sea before it goes deep. There are many sandbanks and shallow spots at this beach section. Many boats and jots anchor here which makes for a nice scenery. Cristal-turquois water with jots in the background. Situated on one side of the beach is the tourist town Colonia Sant Jordi and at the other end the village Sa Rapita. Both are also marinas. Many restaurants and shopping possibilities are present here.
