The beach Es Caragol, which is also called Platja d’es Caragol, lies in the south of Majorca, about 8 km south of the village Ses Salines. From here you must take a path along the coast by foot. The walk is about 30 minutes. Es Caragol is incredibly pretty and offers a quiet ambience. The beach is about 500 m long and about 50-60 m wide. The bright, fine sandy surface falls gently into the shallow seabed. Behind the beach section lies a landscape of dunes. The water is very clear and of azure-blue colour. Almost always, boats are anchored before the shoreline. Sometimes there will be seaweed. There are no services at the beach, but always plenty of room. Es Caragol is very child-friendly. There is lots of room and the beach is shallow. But don’t forget the 30 min walk.
