Cala Mitjana is a very nice beach which lies on the south-eastern coast of Majorca, only a few kilometres north of the well-known holiday resort Cala d’Or. The Cala Mitjana is perfectly situated at the end of an about 250 m long, narrow bay. The beach itself is about 20 to 25 m long and covered in very fine sand. The water is crystal-clear and its depth increases only very slowly. Because of the long bay, waves hardly ever reach here. A small beach bar offers some refreshments at the beach. You can park close to Cala Sanau. From there it is a 20-minute foot walk. Because of this, the beach is hardly ever overcrowded. Only in July and August many people flock to the beach. It’s also ideal for families with children, but keep the 20-minute walk in mind. The bay is also good for snorkelling.
